At Ellis Avenue Church we recognize that worshiping God together is our primary corporate activity and therefore creating a meaningful, life-giving worship service remains the primary focus of our congregation.  We work hard at creating a warm and supportive worshiping environment and a worship service that reflects our very diverse congregation.  We are very committed to providing ample opportunities for lay participation and involvement in our worship (including opportunities for kids and youth).  Visitors are always welcome.

Worship begins at 11:00 A.M.  and is usually completed around 12:15 or 12:30 p.m.

We offer in-person worship at our church building at 5001 S. Ellis Avenue in the Hyde Park/Kenwood neighborhood.

We also offer worship on-line from wherever you are located via Zoom.  In order to join our worship service on Zoom please email ellisavenuechurch@gmail.com or text 773.209.9883 to request the Zoom link.

Almost every week we have light snacks after the service and a time of informal fellowship.  About one Sunday per month we have a full lunch meal together following the service.

We offer nursery care for children up to 5 years old during the service.

Dress for our worship typically ranges from casual to business casual.  We encourage people to ‘come as you are’.

We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of every month.
